I’m Nick, the filmmaker behind BLOC Pictures. I’m based in County Durham and film weddings across Newcastle, Northumberland and the wider North East. I also travel throughout the UK and for destination weddings, so you don’t have to keep your plans close to my postcode.

The place matters, but it’s the people who make the story. I want to hear the vows, catch the looks across the room and keep the bits you were too busy enjoying to see.

A winter ceremony and a long summer evening ask different things of a wedding film. Before your day, we’ll talk about the timings, the spaces you’ll use and what matters most to you. If you want a little time outside together, we’ll find a sensible place for it alongside your photographer.

When the weather changes, indoor light, conversations and reactions still give us a story to work with. I’d rather have you laughing with your guests than waiting for a forecast to improve.

If your ceremony and reception are in different places, tell me early so we can allow for travel and setup. Speeches between courses, separate preparations and venue restrictions are all worth discussing before the day.

Storybook includes your Short Film, Ceremony Film and Speeches Film. Ever After adds a longer Feature Film, and Keepsake brings in guest messages, a next-day Sneak Peek and a physical keepsake.
