The venue’s ceremony options include the Old Chapel, Grand Ballroom, dining room and gardens. Choosing the space is also a chance to think about the light, the route into the ceremony and where your guests will be.
Start with the ceremony space
A chapel, a ballroom and an outdoor ceremony each give a film a different feel. Once you’ve chosen your space, I’d talk with the venue about camera positions, your entrance route and any restrictions before the wedding. The aim is to keep the vows and reactions without making the filming part of the ceremony.
Let the rooms become part of the story
A grand interior is a wonderful backdrop, but I’m looking for what happens inside it: the glance before a speech, the guests catching up and the people you haven’t seen for a while. Build some room into the drinks reception so the film can hold those moments as well as a few portraits.
Plan an outdoor pause, with a real alternative
If you’d like a short walk together, we can plan with your photographer around the light and your meal time. Agree an indoor option too. Your day still has a story if the garden part of the plan changes.
A conversation before the wedding
If you’re considering a pre-wedding interview, ask me about it. It can be a lovely way to explain the story that brought you here before the wedding itself. Any use of the venue outside your wedding booking needs to be agreed with its team.
