Teesside / North East / A wedding film planning guide

Wynyard Hall.
Your story.

A big setting. The little moments.

Wynyard Hall offers religious ceremonies in its chapel and civil ceremonies in its rooms, with outdoor terrace ceremonies also available. Those choices shape the movement of the day, and they’re a useful starting point for planning your film.

01

Tell me where you’ll say the words

The chapel, a state room and an outdoor ceremony bring different sound, light and access considerations. Once the ceremony space is confirmed, I’d check the practical details with the venue and the person conducting it. That gives us a plan for the vows without taking attention away from them.

02

Think about the journey through the day

When your wedding moves through different rooms, allow a little time between each part. Guests arriving, the room before everyone sits down and the conversations on the way to dinner all help connect the film. They make the setting feel lived in, rather than simply photographed.

03

Use the grounds without losing the reception

A short walk together can be a welcome breath in a busy day. I’d plan it with your photographer around daylight and the meal, so you get a few moments together and still spend most of the reception with your people.

04

Give speeches and music their own space

Talk me through the speech order, any performances and where speakers will stand. The clearer we are beforehand, the easier it is to keep the voices and reactions. Before the party finishes, we can find a quieter place for a Kiss Goodnight conversation.
